Job summary

Swingtech in Washington, DC is seeking an AI Developer to design and build secure, accessible AI-enabled applications, APIs, and workflows supporting federal missions. You will operationalize AI models, RAG services, data products, and human-in-the-loop capabilities within government-approved cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information systems, or a related discipline.
• At least three years of experience in software development, full-stack development, API development, or cloud-native development.
• Experience with REST APIs, databases, Git, automated testing, CI/CD, and modern software practices.
• Experience integrating AI/ML, LLM APIs, RAG, NLP, search, automation, or similar AI-enabled capabilities.
• Familiarity with application-security principles and secure coding practices.
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional agile environment.
• Must be willing to work 3 days onsite at customer site in Washington, DC.

Responsibilities

• Develop full-stack AI-enabled applications, APIs, microservices, dashboards, and integrations.
• Implement capabilities using LLMs, RAG pipelines, classification models, and document intelligence.
• Build backend services that integrate with models, vector stores, and cloud services.
• Create accessible web interfaces and dashboards meeting 508/WCAG 2.1 Level A/AA.
• Implement human-in-the-loop controls, including review queues and audit trails.
• Ensure AI outputs are grounded with citations and do not misrepresent sources.
• Develop secure software using CI/CD, code reviews, and automated testing.
• Implement application security controls and logging.
