Your resume and cover letter, tailored to exactly what they’re hiring for.
Jobot is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to design and deliver AI capabilities for a no-code form builder. You will steer vector search, RAG workflows, and structured document processing, targeting reliable production systems within a remote US role.
You will select models and services, build scalable ML infrastructure, and drive improvements through human feedback, RLHF, and model fine-tuning in Azure AI environments. This role emphasizes ownership and practical deployment.
Jobot is recruiting for a US-based team building on a modern, established platform that helps government agencies digitize forms and automate workflows. The company is expanding the platform with Microsoft’s enterprise AI tools and services, making intelligent automation a core part of how public-sector organizations deliver services. This is a production-focused initiative: the goal is to bring dependable AI capabilities to thousands of public-facing forms and help people complete important tasks more efficiently and accurately.

We are seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to lead the design and delivery of the platform’s AI capabilities. You will set technical direction for vector search, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), structured document processing, and future LLM fine-tuning initiatives. Working closely with product, full-stack, and platform engineering teams, you will embed intelligent features into a no-code form builder and ensure they perform reliably in real-world workflows. This is an opportunity to take ownership of systems that move beyond experimentation into production. You will help determine where AI can improve the user experience, select appropriate models and services, and build the infrastructure needed to operate these capabilities at scale. The position is fully remote within the United States, with an annual salary range of $160,000 to $200,000.
Qualified candidates will bring at least five years of applied machine learning experience, including hands-on work with embeddings, retrieval systems, and prompt engineering. Strong Python skills and experience delivering production-grade machine learning pipelines are required. You should have designed or tuned RAG workflows, including hybrid search, and understand how to evaluate retrieval quality and generated outputs.
Experience with fine-tuning language models, structured JSON generation, and human-feedback approaches such as reinforcement learning from human feedback (RLHF) is important. You should also be comfortable making system-level decisions about integrating probabilistic ML capabilities with established product services and APIs. Familiarity with .NET, particularly for integration or orchestration, is beneficial.
Relevant technologies include Azure AI Studio, Azure OpenAI, GPT-4o, Azure AI Search, Python, .NET 8, Cosmos DB, Microsoft SQL Server, Kubernetes and AKS, Azure Blob Storage, Octopus, and Extend.ai. Candidates need not have equal depth across every tool, but should be prepared to apply sound engineering judgment when adopting new models and services.
Design, build, and optimize vector-based retrieval pipelines using embeddings and Azure AI Search. Develop RAG workflows and prompt strategies that transform parsed PDF content into accurate form-component schemas. Explore and implement fine-tuning approaches for structured output, with attention to accuracy, reliability, and low latency.
Lead development of a human-feedback loop that uses builder interface feedback and audit data to improve model performance. Architect solutions that combine conventional APIs with probabilistic inference, and collaborate with engineering partners to deploy and operate these systems in production. Assess emerging model capabilities and recommend practical, responsible adoption across the platform.
During your first six months, success will include delivering a working vector search and RAG pipeline integrated with the form builder, scoping and initiating the first fine-tuning cycle, establishing collection of human feedback, and contributing to the platform’s AI integration roadmap.
Work remotely from anywhere in the United States and help shape AI-enabled public services through a greenfield initiative on a proven, profitable platform. The role offers meaningful technical ownership and the chance to deliver measurable outcomes rather than prototypes. Comprehensive health, vision, and dental coverage is available for employees and their families.
