Job summary

NXP Semiconductors in San Diego, CA is seeking a Director of AI/ML driven ASIC Design and Implementation Automation to lead state-of-the-art AI/ML CAD initiatives for SoC and IP development across ACE. You will collaborate with AI/ML and automation experts, explore GenAI, RL, GraphNN techniques, and pilot prototype solutions to improve power, performance and area while delivering high-quality designs.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related with strong SW development.
• 7+ years of AI/ML techniques applied to real-world optimization problems.
• Experience in Unix/Linux and revision control (Git, Bitbucket).
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Explore AI/ML CAD techniques to improve VLSI design flows and tools for ASICs.
• Develop prototype solutions to evaluate AI/ML methods for NXP designs.
• Coordinate with Architecture, IP/SoC design, verification and implementation teams.
• Pilot automation to enhance power, performance, area, and quality.
