Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Cloud Administrator to join the Cyber Intelligence team in Laurel, MD. You will work on cutting-edge cloud and AI/ML capabilities hosted on large compute clusters and AWS infrastructure, supporting mission-driven programs.

The role requires strong Linux fundamentals, scripting skills (Bash/Perl/Python), and experience with cluster management and security best practices. Collaboration across teams and a commitment to learning are essential.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or Mathematics (or 5 extra years of experience in lieu).
• 5 years of experience required.
• Hadoop/Cloud System Administrator Certification or comparable Cloud Certification (AWS SysOps Admin, AWS DevOps Engineer, or CKA) required.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain cloud solutions on AWS and Hadoop/Cloud clusters.
• Provide implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance for large Hadoop/Cloud clusters.
• Collaborate within a mission-focused team; follow SOPs and communicate effectively.
• Demonstrate willingness to learn new technologies and mentor junior staff.
