The focus is deploying and connecting working capabilities on an existing Kubernetes platform, with secure data access and performance appropriate for mission-critical systems.

Job Responsibilities Include:
  • Deploy and integrate LLM inference endpoints using vLLM and comparable serving technologies, including model APIs, streaming responses, and GPU-backed execution.
  • Develop and maintain Kubernetes manifests and Helm charts for AI/ML and agent services; configure GPU access, resource limits, networking, secrets, and monitoring.
  • Integrate agent frameworks, planning tools, and Model Context Protocol (MCP) services with application interfaces such as REST, Kafka, and AMQP.
  • Connect AI/ML applications to secure data pipelines and query services.
  • Deploy open-weight and multimodal models; manage model artifacts, dependencies, and integration across frameworks and model formats.
  • Develop tests and benchmarks for model quality, endpoint performance, cybersecurity controls, and CPU/GPU/RAM resource constraints.
  • Support technical exchange/working group meetings with government and industry partners.
Qualifications:
Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

Experience:

7+ years of software engineering, systems integration, or AI/ML engineering experience, including hands-on deployment of AI/ML services.

Required Experience:
  • Experience with vLLM or similar inference endpoint software; understanding of model serving APIs, GPU utilization, latency, and throughput.
  • Hands-on Kubernetes and Helm chart development for containerized AI/ML applications, including workload configuration and deployment troubleshooting.
  • Working knowledge of Linux, Python, Git, YAML, REST APIs, and inference frameworks such as PyTorch or Hugging Face Transformers.
  • Experience integrating agent frameworks and tool interfaces (e.g., MCP, LangChain/LangGraph) with messaging or data services such as Kafka or AMQP.
  • Understanding of secure service integration, access controls, automated testing, and operational troubleshooting.
Desired Experience:
  • Deploying multimodal or reasoning-capable open-weight models such as GLM, Llama, and Gemma; handling .pt, .pth, .h5, or GGUF model formats.
  • AI/ML pipelines for streaming, ETL, storage, query, and playback including validation sets and benchmark datasets.
  • GPU sharing and scheduling, NUMA affinity, time synchronization, and resource-bounded workloads in constrained or disconnected environments.
  • Exposure to PINNs (PhysicsNeMo, DeepXDE), predictive coding (PredNet), world models (NVIDIA Cosmos), or agentic coding tools (Codex CLI, Claude Code).
  • Experience with Team Submarine, SWFTS, tactical systems, or other defense integration programs.
Exceptional Qualifications:
  • Delivered integrated Kubernetes-hosted model serving and agentic systems using Helm, MCP-enabled tools, and protected data services in production.
