Job description

The AI Integration Program Manager is accountable for coordinating and delivering AWIP's portfolio of approved AI, automation, systems, and digital transformation initiatives. This role brings together functional leaders, process owners, IT/IS, third-party partners, and site teams to turn defined business priorities into implemented, adopted, and measurable solutions.

This is a business-led program delivery role, not primarily a software development position. The manager will create structure across competing priorities, clarify ownership, manage available bandwidth, establish realistic timelines, and hold stakeholders accountable for decisions and deliverables. The role must be comfortable constructively challenging assumptions, pushing technical partners to remain future-focused, and helping teams find responsible paths to "yes" when constraints or roadblocks arise.

Success will be measured by the timely completion, implementation, adoption, and sustained business impact of the projects identified in AWIP's transformation roadmap.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Program Portfolio Leadership and Prioritization
  • Own the integrated roadmap for AWIP's approved AI, automation, systems, and digital transformation projects across functions and locations.
  • Convert identified initiatives into clear project charters with scope, objectives, business owners, requirements, milestones, dependencies, risks, resources, and success measures.
  • Facilitate portfolio prioritization using business value, strategic alignment, urgency, implementation effort, risk, technical feasibility, and available capacity.
  • Create a realistic delivery sequence that accounts for shared IT resources, operational demands, vendor capacity, and cross-project dependencies.
  • Maintain one transparent source of truth for project status, decisions, risks, resource constraints, and upcoming commitments.
  • Escalate unresolved priority conflicts and capacity constraints with clear options, impacts, and recommended decisions.
Cross-Functional Integration and Stakeholder Management
  • Serve as the central integration point among AWIP departments, site and corporate leaders, IT/IS, Kingspan stakeholders, technical teams, and third-party vendors.
  • Establish clear decision rights, accountable owners, working teams, meeting cadence, communication protocols, and escalation paths for each initiative.
  • Translate operational needs into clear business requirements and ensure technical decisions remain aligned with the intended business outcome.
  • Drive timely stakeholder decisions, surface misalignment early, and hold contributors accountable for actions, deadlines, testing, approvals, and readiness activities.
  • Communicate project status and tradeoffs in concise, decision-ready terms for functional and executive leadership.
Project Execution and Implementation
  • Lead assigned initiatives from business-case validation and requirements through design, configuration or development, testing, approval, deployment, adoption, and post-launch stabilization.
  • Build and manage integrated project plans with defined milestones, dependencies, owners, deadlines, decision gates, and acceptance criteria.
  • Run disciplined project governance, including status reviews, action tracking, risk and issue management, scope control, decision logs, and executive escalation.
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing, data readiness, process changes, cutover planning, communications, training, and go-live support.
  • Prevent pilots from stalling by defining ownership, exit criteria, funding and resource needs, go-live requirements, and scale plans at the outset.
  • Confirm completed solutions are operationally usable, supported, documented, and transitioned to an accountable process or system owner.
IT Partnership, Innovation, and Roadblock Resolution
  • Partner closely with IT/IS while representing the urgency, operational needs, and strategic priorities of the business.
  • Constructively challenge legacy assumptions, premature rejection, and short-term technical thinking; require clear rationale, evidence, and alternatives when a requested approach cannot proceed.
  • Lead teams from "no" toward responsible options by reframing requirements, evaluating alternate architecture or vendors, sequencing dependencies, and identifying controlled pilots or phased solutions.
  • Encourage technology decisions that are scalable, secure, integrated, maintainable, and aligned with AWIP's future-state operating model.
  • Identify when leadership decisions, added capacity, external expertise, or changes in scope are required to maintain momentum.
Business Value, Measurement, and Reporting
  • Define baseline performance and measurable success criteria before implementation, including time saved, cost reduction, cycle-time improvement, quality, accuracy, service, revenue, risk reduction, and adoption.
  • Build or validate business cases and ROI assumptions with Finance and functional owners.
  • Create a consistent executive portfolio dashboard covering schedule, scope, budget, resources, risk, decisions, adoption, and realized value.
  • Track results after go-live, address adoption or process gaps, and confirm benefits are sustained rather than ending accountability at technical deployment.
  • Use actual results and lessons learned to improve prioritization, delivery practices, and future investment decisions.
Change Management and Business Adoption
  • Assess how each initiative changes roles, workflows, controls, skills, and decision-making, and incorporate those impacts into the delivery plan.
  • Partner with leaders and subject-matter experts to create communications, training, job aids, standard work, and adoption plans.
  • Build a network of business owners and site champions who reinforce new ways of working and provide actionable feedback.
  • Monitor adoption and usage, identify resistance or workarounds, and coordinate corrective actions until the solution is embedded in routine operations.
Governance, Risk, and Steering Group Coordination
  • Ensure initiatives align with Kingspan Group and divisional requirements for AI governance, cybersecurity, information security, data privacy, data ownership, records management, compliance, and responsible AI.
  • Identify required IT/IS, legal, compliance, data, vendor, and leadership reviews early enough to protect project timelines.
  • Own the business and delivery coordination for AI Steering Group submissions, pilot approvals, and go-live approvals.
  • Consolidate the business case, scope, expected value, success measures, technical approach, data classification, risks, mitigations, and readiness evidence into clear decision-ready materials.
  • Present initiatives, track decisions and conditions, and ensure approval requirements are satisfied before pilots or production deployment.
Measures of Success
  • Delivery of the approved project portfolio against agreed scope, milestones, and implementation dates.
  • Percentage of initiatives progressing through decision gates without avoidable delay or unresolved ownership.
  • Effective prioritization and use of limited IT, business, and vendor capacity.
  • Adoption, utilization, process compliance, and operational stability following go-live.
  • Verified business outcomes and ROI compared with approved project assumptions.
  • Timely resolution or escalation of risks, dependencies, stakeholder conflicts, and technical roadblocks.
  • Quality and transparency of executive reporting, governance documentation, and decision support.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
  • Five or more years of experience leading complex, cross-functional technology implementation, digital transformation, automation, process improvement, or enterprise systems projects.
  • Demonstrated record of moving initiatives from defined business need through implementation, adoption, stabilization, and measurable value realization.
  • Experience managing a portfolio with competing priorities, shared resources, interdependent workstreams, and executive stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of AI, generative AI, automation, analytics, integrations, enterprise applications, and modern digital technologies sufficient to lead business and technical discussions.
  • Experience working with internal IT/IS teams and external technology vendors, including requirements, statements of work, delivery oversight, issue resolution, and acceptance.
  • Experience defining KPIs, developing business cases, and measuring benefits or ROI.
  • Understanding of information security, data governance, compliance, and responsible AI considerations.
Required Skills and Competencies
  • Exceptional program and project management discipline, including planning, dependency management, risk management, governance, and follow-through.
  • Strong stakeholder leadership and influence skills, with the confidence to challenge constructively, resolve conflict, and create accountability without relying on direct authority.
  • Ability to translate between operational, financial, and technical audiences and turn ambiguity into clear requirements, decisions, owners, and next steps.
  • Practical problem-solving orientation and persistence in developing compliant, workable alternatives when roadblocks arise.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to balance speed, value, risk, cost, scalability, and organizational readiness.
  • Excellent written, verbal, facilitation, presentation, and executive communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex initiatives in a fast-paced, multi-site environment.
  • High integrity, sound judgment, and ability to manage confidential information.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification strongly preferred; Agile, change management, AI, or digital transformation certification is also valuable.
  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial products, engineering, construction, or data center-related environments.
  • Experience working in a global organization and within enterprise governance structures.
  • Experience with enterprise platforms, system integrations, workflow automation, and technology vendor management.
Travel

This role requires up to 15% travel to AWIP locations and other business sites.

Additional Expectations
  • Remain compliant with the Code of Conduct and company policies, including the Kingspan Group Compliance Policy.
  • Ensure all duties related to product compliance are performed in accordance with the Product Compliance Policy, applicable laws and regulations, and market demands.
  • Complete assigned responsibilities supporting the goals and requirements of the Compliance Management System.
  • Raise concerns related to the Compliance Management System to a supervisor, manager, member of the Leadership Team, or through the confidential whistleblower service.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
