Job summary

Spot Freight in Chicago is seeking a Software Engineer II focused on AI Integration to design and implement features and integrations for our platform using .NET and C#. You will refine existing solutions to be efficient, scalable, and aligned with modern standards.

You will work with AI Agents, Document Intelligence, Image Processing, and more, integrating AI services across business workflows while contributing to architectural decisions and code reviews.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in CS or related field.
• 5+ years of professional .NET/C# experience.
• Expertise in building agentic AI workflows and autonomous AI systems.
• Familiarity with RAG pipelines, vector databases, and orchestration frameworks.
• Experience leveraging AI/LLM solutions for business goals.
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative source control concepts.

Responsibilities

• Integrate a variety of business workflows with AI services, using a fully programmatic approach.
• Leverage the .NET ecosystem to achieve a performant, stable experience for our users.
• Engineer efficient solutions and investigate questions around application performance and behavior.
• Utilize source control in a collaborative environment to contribute code and to participate in code reviews.
• Communicate effectively and often as barriers arise and as ideas surface.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and technical design discussions.
