Job summary

Broward County is seeking an Information Systems Supervisor to lead the Innovation Unit’s AI design, development, and deployment. This role focuses on enterprise AI solutions that enhance government services, efficiency, and citizen engagement across county operations.

The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise, strategic vision, and proven project leadership, with excellent stakeholder engagement skills to drive AI initiatives in a public sector environment.

Qualifications

Requires Bachelor's degree in computer science or closely related field.
One year of relevant experience may be substituted for each year of required education.
Requires four years in AI solution development, systems analysis, software engineering, enterprise application development, intelligent automation, or related technology disciplines, including six months lead work/supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

Design AI-driven solutions using Copilot, Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, and related Microsoft platforms.
Develop intelligent agents, copilots, virtual assistants, and conversational AI to improve operations and citizen services.
Integrate AI with enterprise applications, databases, GIS, and business systems.
Implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation, knowledge management, automation, and workflow optimization.
Evaluate, test, and deploy Generative AI, ML, NLP, and Intelligent Document Processing solutions.
Identify opportunities where AI can enhance decision-making, efficiency, and customer experience.
Establish governance, security, compliance, and responsible AI standards for enterprise AI implementations.
Conduct research on emerging AI technologies and industry trends to support strategic planning.
Collaborate with business units to define AI use cases and roadmaps.
Perform cost-benefit analyses, risk assessments, and resource planning for AI initiatives.
Develop proofs-of-concept, pilots, and production-ready AI solutions.
