Job summary

Google Chat Technical Program Manager sought to lead the Chat infrastructure, driving Agentic features, reliability, scale, and developer velocity across client and backend services.

You will collaborate with engineering leads to map requirements, manage schedules, identify risks, and communicate tradeoffs to executives while translating complex tech into actionable plans for cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in program management.
• Experience with ML lifycles, Large Language Models (LLMs), and AI infrastructure.
• Experience with internal tooling, prototyping, or technical architecture.

Responsibilities

• Own and guide high-impact infrastructure projects from requirements through launch, including defining requirements, identifying dependencies, managing project schedules, and performing risk management.
• Identify trends and themes among project and team issues, and drive root-cause analysis with the engineering, product, and UX teams.
• Address the challenges of scope creep, shifting priorities, and delayed timelines while maintaining a clear focus on delivering results. Work with engineers and leadership to distill complex technical concepts into actionable steps.
• Help bridge the gap between technical teams and executive leadership by showcasing the impact of infrastructure work. Lead efforts to quantify and communicate the value of ongoing projects, helping secure buy-in, alignment on direction and visibility.
• Communicate with and build relationships across the core team and partner teams.
