Job summary

SkyPilot invites a Social Media Lead to own the public voice end to end from strategy to execution. You’ll decide what we sound like, which channels to invest in, and which moments to amplify with engineers and founders posting credibly about their work.

This hands-on role requires you to write most posts, run launches for product updates and conferences, and coordinate with marketing, devrel, and design to maximize impact. Location: San Mateo, CA.

Qualifications

• 2+ years leading social or a related marketing function at a company with a technical audience; infra or open source background is a bonus.
• Excellent taste in writing and design; you know what makes a post land.
• You love experimenting with formats, angles, and topics adjacent to our own.
• You’re obsessed about high-impact posts; you measure reach and traffic and act on insights.
• Editorial judgment per platform — know the tone and style for each channel.
• Enough technical/AI literacy to read a blog post, benchmark, or PR and write about it.

Responsibilities

• Own the strategy and content. Decide where SkyPilot shows up and what goes where.
• Write the posts and turn blogs, feature announcements, and customer stories into engaging updates.
• Run launches and own social for every release, teaser, and conference with cross-functional partners.
• Help engineers and founders post credibly and build a scorecard of what lands.
