Job summary

Marquette University invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track Assistant Professor of Practice in Finance, focusing on AI in Finance and data-driven decision-making. The role teaches AI in Finance topics, develops course materials, and advises students within the AI in Business major.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Finance, Financial Engineering, Data Science, or closely related field from AACSB-accredited institution.
Demonstrated experience applying artificial intelligence or machine learning tools in a finance or business context.
Evidence of effective college-level teaching or strong potential for teaching excellence.
Strong communication skills and a demonstrated commitment to student engagement and learning.

Responsibilities

Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in AI in Finance, fintech, data analytics for finance, and related subjects;
Develop and update course materials reflecting current tools, industry practices, and emerging applications of AI in financial services;
Contribute to the College’s AI in Business major through curriculum design, cross-departmental collaboration, and advising;
Mentor and advise students on academic and career development;
Participate in departmental, college, and university service, including committee work, program assessment, and shared governance;
Pursue scholarly or applied research in AI and finance.
