Job summary

AMD is seeking a highly skilled systems engineer to architect scalable AI/HPC clusters for global deployments. You will select compute, storage, networking, and power delivery to optimize performance and reliability, collaborating across teams to deliver cutting-edge infrastructure for AI workloads.

Qualifications

  • Experienced systems architect for HPC or AI infrastructure.
  • Design experience for data center rack and power delivery.
  • Ability to collaborate across hardware, software, network and operations teams.

Responsibilities

  • Design scalable AI/HPC clusters with focus on compute, storage, and networking.
  • Evaluate CPUs, GPUs, accelerators, interconnects for performance.
  • Create power delivery and redundancy schemes for high-density deployments.
  • Define power budgets and fault tolerance mechanisms.
  • Design network topologies to maximize cluster performance.
  • Understand workload network performance needs and trade-offs.
  • Plan storage solutions (Lustre, Ceph) for HPC/AI workloads.
  • Coordinate across hardware, software, network, data center and operations teams.
