Job summary

AMD is seeking an experienced AI systems engineer to design scalable AI/HPC clusters, review compute, storage, and networking options, and ensure performance and reliability across global deployments.

You will collaborate with hardware, software, data center, and operations teams to deliver cutting-edge infrastructure for AI workloads, with a focus on rack design, power delivery, and high-speed interconnects. A Bachelor's or Master’s in electrical/computer engineering is required.

Qualifications

  • Experience in HPC, AI systems/clusters, or data center engineering.
  • Strong rack and cluster design knowledge.
  • Knowledge of GPU/CPU architectures and high-speed interconnects.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks and workload characteristics.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design scalable AI/HPC clusters including compute, storage, and networking.
  • Evaluate CPUs, GPUs, accelerators, interconnects, and memory configurations for optimal cluster performance.
  • Design network topologies to maximize cluster performance.
  • Design and optimize storage solutions for AI/HPC clusters.
  • Collaborate across hardware, software, data center, and operations teams to deliver scalable compute infrastructure.
