Job summary

OpenAI's Hardware organization is seeking a product manufacturing & quality engineer to drive manufacturing, quality, and reliability of AI supercomputer hardware from concept to mass production. You will coordinate with design engineering, operations, and external vendors to ensure on-time delivery and top quality across L6, L10, and L11 platforms.

Based in San Francisco with a hybrid 3-day office model and relocation assistance, you will own readiness gates, process controls, and supplier

Qualifications

• Experience owning manufacturing and quality outcomes for complex hardware from concept to mass production.
• Ability to translate product requirements into qualification plans and process controls.
• Strong problem-solving skills with data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Own integrated manufacturing and quality readiness for L6, L10, L11 products with gates and milestones.
• Lead readiness of process flows, tooling, fixtures, assembly operations, test interfaces, and production controls.
• Translate product requirements into qualification plans and acceptance criteria with design engineering.
• Coordinate and drive product/process qualification, reliability testing and validation with SMEs.
