Job summary

Celestica Inc. is seeking a Hardware Design Engineering Intern for a four-month on-site program in Austin, TX.

You will join a specialized R&D hardware team focused on developing AI hardware solutions and will take part in full-lifecycle product development from concept to production. The role emphasizes hands-on design work, cross-functional collaboration, and exposure to mechanical, thermal, signal integrity, software, test engineering, and project leadership.

Qualifications

• Enrolled as a Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Strong foundation in electrical engineering principles, circuit design and hardware engineering techniques.
• Experience with schematic capture tools; Cadence OrCAD is a plus; familiarity with Cadence Allegro is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Research system concepts and evaluate new component requirements for advanced PCB designs.
• Execute schematic capture and assist in creating system specifications, bills of materials, diagrams, and drawings.
• Perform hands-on testing, board bring-up, and hardware troubleshooting in the lab.
• Collaborate with internal teams to validate designs for signal integrity, thermal management, and circuit performance.
• Provide engineering support throughout manufacturing and validation processes.
