Job summary

OpenAI is seeking a Hardware Chips Programs Manager in San Francisco, CA. The role focuses on steering the hardware roadmap for ML acceleration chips, coordinating cross-functional teams and external partners to deliver production-ready hardware for OpenAI’s supercomputing platform.

Hybrid work with 3 days in the office per week and relocation assistance for new hires. You will engage with AI researchers and engineers to push the frontiers of computing and hardware integration.

Qualifications

• Experience as a technical program manager for data center hardware products (server, GPU, TPU, networking, storage).
• End-to-end system program management from concept through deployment into data center environments.
• Familiarity with System SW programs through NPI.

Responsibilities

• Manage design and implementation planning of ML acceleration hardware across stakeholders.
• Lead planning and scheduling of chip hardware designs with partners and vendors.
• Coordinate internal resources and communications for partner interactions.
