Job summary

Guild Mortgage Company is seeking an AI Governance Lead to design and manage the organization’s AI governance program. You will drive risk assessments, policy development, and compliance across AI/LLM tools and vendors.

This exempt role collaborates with Security, Legal, Compliance, and IT to implement robust controls and monitoring. The position focuses on AI inventory, due diligence, policy updates, and governance reporting, ensuring responsible adoption of AI while aligning with industry

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
• Minimum seven years of experience in IT governance, risk, compliance, security, or AI/ML.
• Experience with AI/LLM governance frameworks and regulatory trends is required.
• Certifications in AI governance, risk, or security are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as subject matter expert for AI/LLM governance across the organization and coordinate with multiple teams.
• Develop and enhance the AI governance strategy, framework, and policies aligned with standards and regulations.
• Own AI Tool Inventory, Assessment, and Approval processes and ensure risk-based approvals.
• Lead AI due diligence and ongoing monitoring for third-party and internal AI solutions.
• Coordinate citizen development processes with guardrails and workflows.
• Govern AI agentic tools, ensuring access controls and change management.
• Maintain AI records retention policy with IT Governance, Privacy, and Legal/Compliance.
• Lead the AI Use Policy updates to reflect new risks and regulatory changes.
• Partner with Information Security on monitoring, DLP, and data exposure controls.
• Document governance activities and produce risk assessments, flows, and reports.
• Promote continuous improvement and KPI tracking for governance effectiveness.
• Prepare and deliver trainings and updates on AI governance requirements.
