Job summary

Georgia Technology Authority (GTA) is actively seeking an Artificial Intelligence Governance Specialist to lead enterprise AI governance and responsible AI initiatives. The role focuses on developing governance frameworks and guiding policy, standards, and implementation across state agencies.

The position requires collaboration with Legal, Cybersecurity, Privacy, Procurement, and risk teams, promoting fairness, transparency, and human oversight in AI systems. Hybrid office-based role in Atlanta.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5 years in technology governance or AI-related fields.
• Experience building enterprise governance frameworks, policies, standards, or risk-management programs.
• Ability to translate laws, regulations, and policy into governance controls.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for executive briefings and governance recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Georgia’s enterprise AI governance framework.
• Lead statewide AI policy, standards, and implementation guidance.
• Establish governance processes for evaluating and approving AI technologies.
• Chair or facilitate Responsible AI governance committees and review boards.
