Job summary

Dentsu is seeking a Senior Governance Lead in New York to drive AI governance initiatives across the enterprise. You will lead a small team of analysts and engineers, manage cross-functional engagements, and ensure timely delivery within a hybrid work model.

You will collaborate with Legal, Security, Privacy, Procurement, and IT teams, shaping policy, risk assessment, and tool integrations while advocating for business needs and governance excellence.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in enterprise technology, IT governance, compliance, consulting, or a related client-facing function within a large organization.
• Experience managing or directing a small team; comfortable helping set direction, assigning work, and keeping the team aligned on outcomes.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex, cross-functional engagements with multiple competing stakeholders and priorities.
• Familiarity with agile ways of working — sprint planning, stand-ups, backlogs, and iterative delivery in an operational context.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to translate between technical, legal, and business audiences without losing precision or trust.
• Working knowledge of AI/ML concepts, generative AI capabilities, and the risk and compliance landscape around AI adoption — data privacy, model transparency, IP exposure, third-party risk.
• Consultative by nature: you listen before you prescribe, and you care about getting the right outcome for the business, not just closing the ticket.

Responsibilities

• Direct the work of the AI Governance Analyst and AI Governance Engineer — assigning requests, identifying priorities, and ensuring the team is focused.
• Own the team's operating rhythm — sprint planning, stand-ups, and other agile ceremonies across engagements.
• Own the AI Concierge Program Tracker as the master record of the service with up-to-date status for all engagements.
• Identify priority and urgency of each request to inform the review schedule.
• Escalate blockers and drive remediation paths; partner with leadership as needed.
• Develop governance program improvements and policy guidance with stakeholders.
