Job summary

Tecolote is seeking a hands-on full-stack software engineer to support AI-enabled applications built on a Python/Angular codebase and AWS-native architecture. Focus is on production-quality software engineering and cloud deployment, not AI research.

You will own features spanning the UI, APIs, Python services, and AWS infrastructure, contribute to CI/CD pipelines, and ensure secure, scalable deployments across development to production environments.

Qualifications

• Strong Python development in production codebases.
• Strong Angular/TypeScript development experience.
• Experience integrating Angular UI with REST APIs and Python back-ends.
• Experience writing automated tests for frontend and backend.
• Proficient with Git and modern workflows.
• Experience building/troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on AWS deployment experience.
• Familiarity with IAM, roles, and permissions.
• Terraform IaC experience.
• Experience with multi-environment deployments.
• Ability to troubleshoot across code, pipelines, and cloud infra.
• Experience with AI/ML tooling in production is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, debug, and enhance production-grade Python applications and AI services.
• Build, maintain, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines across AWS dev/stage/prod.
• Develop and maintain Terraform infrastructure as code.
• Deploy and troubleshoot AWS-native apps (Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway, containers).
• Develop and maintain Angular-based web interfaces and REST API integrations.
• Write maintainable, testable code and participate in code reviews and Scrum ceremonies.
• Collaborate with cloud, security, and operations teams to ensure secure deployments.
