Job summary

Abacus Service is seeking a software engineer to join our backend team. You will develop in Java/Python/Angular with Spring Boot, building scalable APIs and distributed services.

The role requires 4+ years of experience in product teams, strong debugging, and database knowledge (SQL/NoSQL). Exposure to AI/ML tooling, cloud platforms, and container orchestration is a plus. This is a hands-on, collaborative position with opportunities for growth and impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 4+ years of experience in software engineering, backend development, or data platform engineering, preferably in product-based teams.
• Proficiency in Java/Python/Angular; Spring Framework or Spring Boot a plus.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases; API and backend service design basics.
• Strong debugging skills and knowledge of version control, testing, and code reviews.
• Familiarity with RDBMS like PostgreSQL/MySQL and cloud/container basics (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to produce runbooks and documentation.
