Job summary

National Information Solutions Cooperative, Inc. is seeking a GIS professional to manage, edit, and QA GIS datasets for its Member organizations. The role emphasizes ArcGIS desktop tools, Python scripting, and strong communication to support internal customers and project teams.

The position requires 3+ years of GIS experience, a geography/GIS-related degree, and travel as necessary. A hybrid work arrangement respects office presence in Cedar Rapids, IA and Lake Saint Louis, MO locations.

Qualifications

3+ years of related experience preferred.
Moderate knowledge of business-related software applications and services.
Working knowledge of ArcToolbox and ArcGIS Server.
Python experience to customize scripts.
Geography/Geoscience background with GIS focus.
Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

Setup, edit and maintain GIS datasets for Members including layers, fields, domains, networks and attributes.
Perform QA by analyzing database updates and work orders for accurate conversions.
Lead and track GIS projects to meet start times and deadlines.
Provide technical and analytical support to internal customers for GIS software.
Provide software enhancement recommendations for GIS software.
