Job at a Glance

The GIS Analyst will support the configuration, maintenance, and communication of GIS data in alignment with internal systems and public safety applications. This role requires working closely with customer resources and internal teams to manage data workflows, administer GIS tools, and ensure project deliverables meet quality and timeline expectations.

Details

  • Type: Full-time, Remote
  • Duration: Temporary-to-Hire (for the right candidate)
  • Location: Fully Remote (Must be flexible across time zones)
  • Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Qualifications

Required:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Cartography, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience: 3–5 years of relevant GIS experience
  • Certifications: Must pass CJIS background check

Preferred:

  • Experience: Prior work with public safety, local government, or similar industries
  • Skills: Familiarity with cached mapping services, ArcGIS Online, and public safety GIS systems
  • Programming: Knowledge of Python scripting language

Responsibilities

  • Configure, set up, and maintain GIS data remotely, with potential for on-site visits
  • Install and administer ESRI software and related GIS tools
  • Create, manipulate, and manage GIS data using industry-standard tools and methods
  • Act as liaison between client resources and internal technical teams
  • Deliver updates to internal teams based on evolving customer needs
  • Conduct customer training using various instructional methods (e.g., presentations, live demos)
  • Manage communication with customer contacts and support overall project schedules
  • Document tasks and generate required reports per project standards
  • Support multiple projects and maintain a strong commitment to quality and deadlines
