Job summary

Western Alliance Bancorporation is seeking a Staff Engineer II - AI Forward Full Stack Engineer to lead design, development, and deployment of AI-enabled, cloud-native lending solutions. You will work with Azure, .NET, Python, React, SQL, and ETL, guiding junior engineers while ensuring governance and security standards.

You will collaborate with architects and business partners to deliver scalable APIs, implement CI/CD pipelines, and advance observability and regulatory readiness across Lending

Qualifications

• 7+ years of related experience in software engineering or IT development.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
• Previous technical leadership experience preferred.
• Experience with Azure cloud services and AI-enabled development approaches.
• Knowledge of security, governance, and regulatory requirements in financial services.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver AI-enabled, cloud-native full-stack solutions for Lending platforms.
• Apply AI-forward practices, including Prompt Engineering and RAG patterns.
• Develop secure, scalable APIs using Azure API Management.
• Hands-on full-stack development with Azure, .NET, Python, React, SQL, and ETL tech.
• Support CI/CD pipelines with GitHub, Azure DevOps, and Azure Pipelines.
• Ensure observability, reliability, and regulatory compliance.
• Contribute to architectural reviews and governance processes.
• Collaborate with partners, architects, QA, and cross-functional teams.
• Maintain technical documentation per WAB IT standards.
