Job summary

Ascent Developer Solutions seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer to build AI-powered tools for complex real estate lending workflows. You will embed with business teams, learn their processes, and implement production code that passes security reviews and governance gates.

The role emphasizes automation, collaboration with Platform Engineering, and delivering scalable solutions. You will design end-to-end workflow automations, ship them on the existing platform, and ensure proper monitoring,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience, including systems used by non-technical business users.
• Production experience with Python or TypeScript, SQL, and REST API integrations.
• Hands-on experience shipping LLM-based features to production with tool use, structured outputs, and evaluation.
• Experience with AI coding tools and looping agent design.

Responsibilities

• Embed with business teams to learn their workflows and map end-to-end processes.
• Identify automation opportunities and prioritize with leadership.
• Write build-ready specifications for core platform work and co-ship it.
• Collaborate with Platform Engineering to reuse data, integrations, and monitoring.
• Build and ship automation using Python/TypeScript, APIs, and LLM-based agents.
• Design agent loops with clear goals, verification, and human checkpoints.
• Ensure security and AI governance: sandboxing, least-privilege identities, audit logging, and reviews.
• Measure automation outcomes against baselines and report results.
• Drive adoption with training and updated procedures.
• Monitor, support, and update runbooks for all automations.
