Job summary

EY is seeking a Lead Forward Deployed Engineer to own end-to-end delivery of AI-native systems for a single client engagement in regulated industries. The role embeds with the client, maintains hands-on coding, and leads a small cell to translate business needs into secure, production-grade solutions.

The ideal candidate combines deep technical judgment with client-facing skills, delivering outcomes within regulatory constraints and complex environments.

Qualifications

• 8+ years delivering complex enterprise systems in regulated or client-facing contexts.
• Hands-on engineering depth across integration-heavy architectures, cloud platforms, and distributed systems.
• Experience with modern AI-enabled stacks (agentic systems, orchestration frameworks, LLM-backed services).
• Proven ability to operate in forward-deployed, customer-facing roles, owning outcomes end to end.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery for the cell, including scoping, tradeoffs, tech direction, and production readiness.
• Embed with the client to define problems and translate needs into executable solutions.
• Serve as primary technical interface and trusted advisor to client stakeholders.
• Stay hands-on and dive into code, data, and client systems when needed.
• Deploy, adapt, and stabilize solutions in the client environment with produced readiness.
