Job summary

EY seeks a Lead Forward Deployed Engineer to own the end-to-end delivery of AI-native systems for a single client in regulated industries. You’ll be the technical authority within an Advanced Forward Engineering cell, turning ambiguous business problems into secure, production-grade solutions while staying hands-on when needed.

You will embed with the client, set technical direction, and manage tradeoffs, stakeholder relationships, and trust to drive outcomes.

Qualifications

8+ years delivering complex enterprise systems, ideally client-facing.
Hands-on depth across integration-heavy architectures, cloud platforms, distributed systems.
Experience with modern AI-enabled stacks (agentic systems, orchestration, LLM-backed services).
Proven ability to lead small technical teams while remaining an individual contributor.
Strong stakeholder management and production readiness focus.

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end outcome delivery for the cell, including scoping and production readiness.
Embed with the client to define problems and translate needs into technical solutions.
Serve as primary technical interface and trusted advisor to client stakeholders.
Stay hands-on and dive into code, data, and client systems as required.
Deploy and stabilize solutions in the client environment with templates.
Direct the cell's Implementation and Data Engineer, ensuring cohesive delivery.
Ensure deployments meet safety, integrity, and cost constraints.
