Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) seeks a Software Engineer Intern to join the Information Services Team in Pullman, WA. The role supports AI usage, data integration, and learning across platforms, with part-time during the academic year and full-time in summer.

Ideal candidates are current students in MIS/CS/Data Analytics, strong communicators, and curious about AI, automation, and emerging tech. Programming experience in C#, JavaScript, or Python is a plus.

Qualifications

• Current student pursuing a degree in MIS, computer science, information systems, data analytics, cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Proficient in at least one programming language (C#, JavaScript, Python) and willingness to learn new tech.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Champion appropriate AI usage and educate stakeholders.
• Document best practices and share learnings with the team.
• Explore AI and data integration with Microsoft tools and platforms.
• Assist with configuring and deploying M365 agents and related services.
