Job summary

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) in Pullman, WA, invites an Data Analyst Intern to support our Sales & Customer Service Operations team. You will review data, build charts and dashboards, and help improve reports while learning real-world analytics in a manufacturing environment.

We seek current students in Analytics, Math, Statistics, or MIS with strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.

Qualifications

• Current student pursuing a degree in Analytics, Math, Statistics, or MIS
• Knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel
• Strong analytical, judgment, organizational, and project management skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
• Ability to learn and communicate technical/scientific information to a non-technical audience
• Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively in a team environment
• Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
• Background check results satisfactory to SEL
• Negative drug test result(s)

Responsibilities

• Review data, create charts, dashboards, and reports as assigned.
• Develop ways to avoid and deter data inconsistencies at the source in addition to review, validate, research, clean and transform those inconsistencies.
• Support analysts to improve current reports and data sources.
• Follow and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.
• Understand. Create. Simplify.
• Other duties as assigned.
