Facilities Management eXpress (FMX) is seeking an Engineer Manager to lead a Core Team of software engineers, mentoring them and shaping engineering culture. You’ll stay close to code, help unblock the team, and drive AI‑first development practices while partnering with product, design, QA, and leadership to align work with business goals.

This player‑coach role emphasizes building high‑quality software, delivering customer value, and growing talent in a fast‑moving, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–4 years of engineering management or technical leadership experience.
• Former software engineer background with hands‑on coding.
• Hands‑on experience with AI‑first development and tooling.
• Ability to coach and grow engineers at multiple career stages.
• Experience improving engineering processes and cross‑functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow your team with clear roles, goals, and processes; provide coaching and career guidance.
• Foster trust, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team and culture.
• Remove blockers and keep the team shipping with high quality and speed.
• Stay technically engaged to guide architectures and production readiness.
• Drive AI‑first development practices and standards across the org.
• Partner with product/design to align priorities with business goals and roadmaps.
