Facilities Management eXpress is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead a Core Team, coach engineers, and align work with product and business goals. You’ll stay close to code, mentor engineers, and help shape practices for AI-assisted development in an AI-first world.

You’ll collaborate with product, design, QA, and other leadership to build an inclusive, high-performing culture, while guiding architecture decisions and removing blockers to accelerate delivery.

Competenze

• Proven people management experience, including direct management, performance reviews, and growth support.
• Minimum of 2 years of engineering management or technical leadership, with prior software engineering experience in SaaS.
• Builder’s mindset: you still enjoy writing code and will regularly contribute fixes, features, and triage work that isn’t mission-critical.
• Hands-on experience with AI-first development (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) and best-practice teaching.
• Must work Eastern Time hours for daily team meetings.
• Proven ability to coach engineers at all career stages with clear, empathetic communication.
• Experience improving engineering processes and workflows; familiarity with agile practices and cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to think strategically while handling day-to-day execution.
• Passion for inclusive, psychologically safe teams with excellent developer experience.
