Qualifications

• 3+ years managing engineers at a SaaS company
• Track record delivering outcomes with milestones and ownership
• Strong technical background for architecture discussions
• Autonomy with competing priorities
• Experience introducing AI-native practices

Responsibilities

• Care deeply about customers and their outcomes
• Lead your squad to deliver customer value end-to-end—from planning through delivery, quality, and follow-through
• Drive execution: set milestones, move work through ambiguity, ship in small increments
• Make confident decisions when the path isn’t obvious and lead your team through them
• Set the operating rhythm to move fastest, avoiding unnecessary ceremony
• Ensure solutions are scalable, architecturally sound, flexible, and secure with peer-review, QA, documentation, deployment, logging, and monitoring practices
• Stay close to the work—participate in design reviews, architecture calls, and incidents
• Provide coaching and meaningful development opportunities for direct reports
• Hire, onboard, and manage performance so the right people are in place to hit squad goals
• Bring an AI-native perspective to accelerate velocity and prototype faster
• Partner across engineering and other departments to align with customer success
