Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC in Hawthorne, CA is seeking an AI First Software Builder to create services and applications supporting the Ring teams. You will apply AI-first approaches across documentation, design, code, and delivery to accelerate software outcomes.

You will work with product management and cross-functional partners on large-scale distributed systems, owning components, prototyping new tech, and driving engineering excellence while mentoring others.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non‑internship design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems.
• 1+ year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
• 1+ year of designing and developing large‑scale, multi‑tiered, multi‑threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
• 1+ year of Object Oriented Design experience.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Responsibilities

• Work across the organization to present and deliver high‑quality solutions quickly.
• Write high‑quality distributed‑system software for large‑scale applications, managing high TPS >10000/second.
• Work with product management and cross‑functional teams to provide technical solutions for desired user experiences.
• Work with other team members to architect and design approaches.
• Prototype new technology and evaluate technical feasibility.
• Take ownership of large components.
• Drive best practices and engineering excellence.
