Job summary

Amazon Enterprise Security Products is building AI-first security tools. This SDE II role focuses on AI-powered security product design and end-to-end development at scale, across multi-cloud environments, within a small, fast-moving team.

You will collaborate with security researchers, applied scientists, product managers, and UX designers to shape product direction, own features end to end, and ship impactful software quickly.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience
• Experience in AI assisted or agentic coding practices

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship AI-powered security products from architecture through production deployment of large-scale, multi-tiered distributed systems.
• Engineer end-to-end, full-stack experiences across front-end interfaces, back-end services and REST APIs, deploying on AWS and cloud-agnostic multi-cloud environments.
• Design and implement intelligent systems—agentic architectures, conversational interfaces, and automation workflows.
• Write, test, review, and ship code faster using AI tools and techniques to boost velocity and quality across projects.
• Lead planning, effort estimation, and phased rollouts across systems and operations with autonomy in a startup-like environment.
• Collaborate with security researchers, applied scientists, product managers, and UX designers to shape product direction.
