Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. seeks a software engineer to design, build, and ship AI-powered security products. You will own the full lifecycle from architecture to production deployment across multi-tiered distributed systems protecting AWS customers.

You will work across front-end, back-end, and REST APIs on AWS, designing cloud-agnostic solutions for customers; collaborate with researchers, product managers, and UX designers to shape the product direction and customer outcomes.

Qualifications

3+ years of professional software development experience.
2+ years designing or architecting systems.
1+ year designing large-scale distributed software.
Experience in AI-assisted or agentic coding.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and ship AI-powered security products from architecture to deployment.
Engineer end-to-end experiences across front-end, back-end, and REST APIs on AWS.
Design intelligent systems with agentic architectures, conversational interfaces, and automation workflows.
Write, test, review, and ship code faster using AI-assisted development workflows.
Lead implementation planning, effort estimation, and phased rollouts with ownership of outcomes.
Prototype rapidly, validate hypotheses with customers, and iterate quickly.
Collaborate with security researchers, applied scientists, product managers, and UX designers.
Participate in on-call rotations, drive root-cause analysis, and improve reliability and security.
