Job summary

Eight Sleep, Inc. is seeking an experienced Security Engineer who embraces an AI-first culture to scale security across corporate IT, identity, AI Security, enterprise, and cloud.

You will own security programs from day one, collaborating with backend, firmware, and data engineers, and working directly with the Head of Security. This is a generalist role with meaningful ownership.

You must write clearly, automate where possible, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment.

Qualifications

• AI-first mindset and scale-focused engineering.
• 4+ years in security/IT with ownership on a small team.
• Experience operating a SIEM (Datadog Cloud SIEM, Panther, Splunk, Elastic).
• Corporate IT fluency: Google Workspace admin, MDM, identity lifecycle.
• Scripting ability (Python or similar).
• Clear security writing and documentation for triage notes and runbooks.

Responsibilities

• Google Workspace administration, device management, and the SaaS access lifecycle.
• Keep compliance green with code and automated tests; extend Vanta with custom tests.
• Partner with internal teams to find secure solutions to enable company goals.
• Vulnerability management and endpoint management on the corporate fleet.
• Build processes for secure and ethical AI in corporate environments.
• Act as the security team's second brain: triage inbound requests and run security reviews.
• Tackle new security engineering projects.
