Job summary

Gusto is seeking a senior product leader to define and own the conversational assistant within CoreX AI. You’ll shape how it works, earn customer trust, and enable small businesses to complete critical work across payroll, benefits, and HR.

You’ll partner with domain teams to expand capabilities, maintain high quality, and deliver tangible value quickly in a fast-changing AI landscape.

Qualifications

• 10+ years building as a product manager or equivalent leadership role.
• Experience owning meaningful scope and driving platform-level decisions.
• Ability to ship AI-enabled features with a customer-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Define how Gusto's conversational assistant works and earns customer trust.
• Lead the product vision for the assistant and translate it into a coherent strategy.
• Grow tool and domain coverage across payroll, time, benefits, and compliance.
• Define ecosystem surfaces and prioritize connectors, channels, and AI clients.
• Partner with engineering, data, design, and UX teams to balance speed, quality, and scope.
• Move fast, shipping narrow slices that deliver customer value early.
