Job summary

Vizient is seeking a Product Owner/Manager to independently own defined internal platform capabilities, including reusable rules engines and AI-enabled workflows, focusing on execution and measurable business value. You’ll own the backlog, write user stories, and collaborate with engineering and internal users to translate complex business logic into scalable, configuration-driven platform features.

Qualifications

• 2 or more years of relevant experience required.
• Typically possesses 3–5 years of relevant experience in product management, product ownership, platform products, workflow automation, BPM, enterprise tech, or AI-enabled workflows.
• Experience serving as a Product Owner or Product Manager with backlog, user stories, acceptance criteria, and iterative delivery.
• Experience with rules engines, workflow automation platforms, BPM, or configuration-driven enterprise platform technologies.
• Demonstrated ability translating business processes into scalable technical solutions with engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the product backlog and near-term roadmap for internal platform capabilities and reusable rules engines.
• Conduct discovery with internal users to identify workflow pain points and adoption barriers, leveraging AI-first practices.
• Translate business logic into scalable platform capabilities with user stories, requirements, acceptance criteria, and validation approaches.
• Balance platform priorities across internal clients, architecture, governance, risk, and AI opportunities.
• Collaborate with engineering, architecture, security, data, and design teams to sequence work and deliver reusable platform capabilities.
• Work with AI-assisted development environments to improve delivery quality and speed.
• Support release readiness, documentation, validation, and adoption activities.
• Track usage, adoption, client satisfaction, cycle time, reuse, quality, and performance to refine backlog.
• Identify opportunities to reduce friction and increase self-service through reusable platform capabilities.
• Develop guidance and enablement resources to help internal users adopt platform capabilities in AI-first workflows.
