Job summary

Block is seeking a strategic, hands-on Systems Engineer to lead the finance-technology transformation. You will own the architecture and scaling of the stack powering the core financial engine across Accounting, Tax, Treasury, and FP&A.

Work with business leaders, product managers, and data engineers to design scalable data models, robust integrations, and automated workflows, using AI-assisted development to accelerate delivery, while documenting decisions to support enterprise-wide adoption.

Qualifications

• Oracle Fusion expertise across FAH, GL, SLA, and BIP.
• Strong SQL/PLSQL and web services (SOAP, REST, JSON, XML) knowledge.
• Experience in accounting process transformations and data modeling.
• Ability to translate requirements into scalable designs and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Drive AI-First Development: embed AI tools into daily workflow.
• Architect scalable financial solutions across Oracle FAH, GL, SLA, and BIP.
• Build intelligent integrations between accounting systems, data lakes, and internal applications using REST, SOAP, JSON.
• Operational Excellence: automate financial workflows and reduce manual overhead.
• Own Technical Execution: translate complex accounting principles into scalable designs and documentation.
