Job summary

US LBM is seeking a Lead Software Engineer (Digital Workplace) to provide technical leadership while hands-on building highly available apps, integrations, and automations across the digital workplace stack built on Microsoft 365, Workday, and modern identity tools.

The role blends coding with architecture leadership, product partnership, and AI-driven delivery, shaping how a 13,000-person company builds software in the AI era. This is a builder's role at scale.

Qualifications

• 5+ years delivering web, mobile, enterprise, or integration solutions.
• 4+ years full-stack development experience.
• Mentoring, code reviews, and architecture ownership demonstrated.
• Strong hands-on with TypeScript/JavaScript (React frontend, Node.js backend).
• Back-end services in Python or Rust; databases such as PostgreSQL and MongoDB.

Responsibilities

• Own use-case discovery and rapid prototyping with Product Manager, including AI opportunities.
• Lead AI-first software development lifecycle across discovery to delivery.
• Guide engineering across digital workplace, identity, endpoint, intranet, and workflows.
• Mentor teammates, perform code reviews, and drive architectural decisions.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support modular applications and APIs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
