Job summary

Google is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for AI Incubation and Rapid Infrastructure Automation in Sunnyvale, CA. You will contribute to AI-first infrastructure, scale, and reliability across Google's data centers and networks, collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve complex problems at petabyte scale.

As a senior engineer, you will own critical projects, participate in architecture discussions, and lead initiatives to advance Agentic AI-driven development and infrastructure

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with software development.
• 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
• 3 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture.

Responsibilities

• Write and test product or system development code.
• Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
• Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
• Work as an AI-First SWE Engineer, who puts themselves directly in the customers' environment to understand and solve their issues.
• Use Agentic AI and Spec Driven Development to develop products and solutions with an AI-First mindset.
