Job summary

Google is seeking software engineers to develop next-generation technologies at scale, working on critical projects with opportunities to switch teams. Engineers will contribute across full-stack areas including information retrieval, distributed computing, networking, data storage, security, AI/ML, and UI design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of software development experience in one or more programming languages.
• 3 years testing, maintaining, or launching software products, plus 1 year in design/architecture.
• 3 years developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, networks, or compute/storage/hardware experience.

Responsibilities

• Write and test product or system development code.
• Lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders on technologies to use.
• Triage issues and debug to assess impact on hardware, network, or services.
• Work as an AI-First SWE Engineer, understanding customers' environments to solve problems.
• Use Agentic AI and Spec Driven Development to build AI-first products.
