Job summary

Google is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in AI/ML within the AI and Infrastructure team. The role focuses on building scalable AI systems, collaborating across teams, and delivering cutting-edge models and infrastructure to billions of users worldwide.

Location options include Sunnyvale, CA and Seattle, WA with in-person interviews preferred. The position emphasizes leadership, versatility, and end-to-end system design in a fast-growing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience programming in Python or C++.
• 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
• 3 years of experience with one or more ML areas: speech/audio, reinforcement learning, ML infrastructure, or related field.
• 3 years of experience with ML infrastructure: deployment, evaluation, data processing, debugging.

Responsibilities

• Write and test product or system development code.
• Review designs and code with peers to ensure best practices across technologies.
• Contribute to documentation and update content as products evolve.
• Triage issues and debug across hardware, network, or services.
• Design and implement solutions in ML areas and leverage ML infrastructure.
