Job summary
Blend is seeking a Software Engineer to design, implement, and maintain a platform powering US mortgage workflows. You will work with AI coding agents across planning, coding, testing, and deployment to deliver scalable software with an accessible UX. You will partner with product, design, and QA to ship features end-to-end.
The role emphasizes ownership, modern tooling, and an engineering culture that values AI-first development, code reviews, and reliability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
- 2–5 years of production software experience.
- Proficiency with AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex).
- Full-stack proficiency: backend Node.js/TypeScript or Golang; frontend HTML/CSS/JS and React.
- Experience with Postgres or MongoDB.
Responsibilities
- Build features end-to-end across the stack.
- Review and harden AI-generated code for production.
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams.
- Design scalable, resilient backend and frontend components.
- Participate in code reviews and on-call rotation.
