Job summary

Slalom, LLC is seeking an AI Accelerated Engineering Lead to guide teams toward AI‑accelerated engineering. You will own client solution architecture and drive the next generation of AI‑empowered software development, leading communities and mentoring Builders across multiple engagements.

You will balance people leadership with setting technical direction, partnering with clients to solve complex challenges, and delivering high‑quality software through repeatable, scalable approaches.

Qualifications

• 8+ years building and operating production software with leadership in system or platform architecture.
• Hands‑on AI‑accelerated development with agentic IDEs and advanced tooling (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code).
• Proven track record delivering GenAI‑enabled solutions with multiple developers and AI agents using context engineering.
• Strong API, microservices, eventing, reliability, and security knowledge.
• Proficiency in TypeScript/Node, Python, or Java; comfort with React/Next and modern frameworks.
• Cloud & DevOps experience across AWS/Azure/GCP, Kubernetes, CI/CD, IaC, and production observability.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery across multiple value streams with clear, repeatable approaches.
• Mentor engineers, guide technical direction in pursuits, and share best practices across Slalom.
• Redefine AI‑first SDLC, designing flows and guardrails for generative AI from ideation to operations.
• Apply context engineering strategies like prompt templating, embeddings, retrieval‑augmented generation, and data grounding.
• Coordinate with capabilities and technical leads to deliver world‑class user experiences and validation procedures.
• Lead pursuit work by detailing delivery approaches for new opportunities as a technical expert.
• Own product architecture while prototyping and hardening AI‑driven solutions with modern DevOps and observability.
