Job summary

Rippling is seeking a Staff/Principal-level designer for its Design Systems team to drive AI-powered design system work across multiple products. The role supports remote candidates in North America and Europe and offers options to work from Rippling offices in New York, San Francisco, Seattle, London, Austin, or Toronto.

Office-based employees may be expected to be in the office at least three days a week under current policy.

Qualifications

8+ years of product design or design systems experience in dense B2B platforms.
Demonstrated AI-native mindset using LLMs and AI-assisted coding/prototyping tools.
Deep systems thinking and ability to scale UI/UX frameworks across many product surfaces.
Outstanding portfolio showing depth in user experience, interaction, and visual design.
High-velocity execution as an autonomous IC without bottlenecks.
Experience partnering with PMs, Engineers, and Designers to deliver component work.

Responsibilities

Define AI-first UX experiences adopted across Rippling’s products.
Drive outcomes in a fast-paced environment with a shipping focus.
Lead platform-wide efforts to build easy-to-use, repeatable UX patterns.
Set design language standards and embed systems thinking in practice.
Build and drive systems that ensure high quality user experiences.
Use AI-based tools to accelerate alignment, velocity, and execution.
Create high-fidelity prototypes, PRDs, data models, and visuals for final designs.
