Placements24 in Paarl is seeking a dedicated AI Ethics and Governance Specialist to join our client’s team, contributing to responsible development and deployment of AI and Emerging Technologies.

You will develop frameworks, policies, and guidelines to ensure AI systems are fair, transparent, accountable, and safe, working with legal, compliance, and technical teams to navigate ethical challenges and foster trust across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law, Ethics, Policy, CS or related field.
• Strong understanding of AI technologies and societal implications.
• Knowledge of ethical frameworks, governance principles, and regulations.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in risk management or compliance in tech is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement AI ethics policies and standards.
• Conduct ethical risk assessments for AI projects and mitigation strategies.
• Advise technical teams on ethical considerations in AI design.
