Job summary

Ensora Health is seeking a Software Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on designing, developing, and installing software solutions, taking ownership from design through deployment, and collaborating with leadership to define requirements.

You will work across AI-assisted tooling to build scalable, secure systems and maintain high code quality. We value strong OOP experience, PHP as a preferred language, Linux expertise, and a proactive approach to testing, observability, and secure

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software development in an object-oriented language (PHP preferred)
• Strong understanding of OOP principles, design patterns, and clean code
• Experience in a Linux-based development environment
• Proficiency with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS3
• Solid experience with SQL/MySQL databases
• Working understanding of observability: logs, metrics, tracing
• Commitment to code quality, testing, and maintainable design
• Practical experience with AI tools for coding, debugging, or documentation

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain features and services using OO design principles (PHP preferred; Java/ C#/Python/Ruby welcome)
• Own technical implementation from design through deployment with limited oversight
• Leverage AI-assisted tools to improve productivity, debugging, and test creation while ensuring quality
• Design reusable, testable components aligned with architecture and coding standards
• Diagnose and resolve non-trivial bugs using logs, metrics, and traces
• Contribute to automated testing, including unit and integration tests
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior engineers
• Apply secure coding practices and address security risks
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers during planning and backlog refinement
• Maintain technical documentation with AI-assisted clarity and updates
• Stay current on engineering and AI practices and share techniques with the team
