Job summary

Ensora Health is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, and deploy information systems, leading parts of the software lifecycle in coordination with a growing team. The role emphasizes strong object‑oriented programming experience (PHP preferred but open to other OO languages) and a thoughtful approach to how AI can enhance development.

You will own meaningful features and collaborate with senior engineers to build scalable, secure systems.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software development experience in an OO language.
• Strong OOP, design patterns, and clean code practices.
• Experience in Linux-based development environments.
• Proficient in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS3.
• Solid SQL/MySQL relational database experience.
• Familiar with AI tools for coding, debugging, or testing.
• Nice to have Docker or containerized environments and AWS.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain features and services using OO design principles.
• Own technical implementation from design to deployment with limited oversight.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools to improve productivity and testing.
• Create reusable, testable components matching architecture and standards.
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior engineers when appropriate.
• Ensure secure coding practices and address web security risks.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers in sprint planning.
• Maintain technical documentation with AI-assisted clarity and updates.
• Stay current on engineering and AI practices and share learnings.
