Job summary

Huron Consulting Group is seeking a senior software/AI engineer to build scalable, enterprise AI solutions on AWS and Azure, collaborating closely with business teams to deliver real value.

You will work from a product pod, lead feature development, ensure quality, and mentor junior engineers while applying modern DevOps practices. Expected 5–8 years in software/AI with Python, TypeScript, React, and cloud experience.

Qualifications

• 5 to 8 years building software or AI, including 1 to 2 years leading.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Python and TypeScript, backend and frontend (React or similar).
• Experience with AWS or Azure and cloud-native deployments.
• Familiarity with RAG/agent-based AI and CI/CD pipelines.
• Exposure to DevOps tooling and infrastructure as code.

Responsibilities

• Build the features.
• Full-stack on AWS and Azure using Claude and other models.
• Work with users.
• Sit with the business day to day and build with them.
• Keep quality up.
• Tests and evaluations on everything that ships.
• Work to the design.
• Build within the agreed solution design, and flag what the design misses.
• Raise the bar.
• Set the engineering standard in the pod and support less experienced engineers.
